Announcing the result, the Returning Officer, Comrade Jonathan Ugbal, said Ibe’s unopposed emergence was not unexpected, noting that all registered members in the constituency took part in the process.
Peter Ibe, a constitutional lawyer, has emerged as the African Action Congress (AAC) candidate for the Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
Ibe was affirmed unopposed after the party adopted direct primaries held at the open field of Sacred Heart Primary School, Agwagune, Biase Local Government Area, which served as the collation centre.
