adsThe Oyo State Government, through the Agricultural Credit Corporation of Oyo State (ACCOS), has commenced the distribution of subsidised food commodities to interested workers in the State as part of efforts to cushion the economic challenges ahead of the Eid el-Kabir celebration.

Akeugberu Akeugbagold, sheikh, and the Chairman of the Agricultural Credit Corporation of Oyo State (ACCO) speaking during the unveiling of the distribution exercise held at the Corporation’s premises in Ibadan, S), Sheikh, said the initiative was aimed at supporting workers and ensuring they celebrate the festive season with ease.

The Chairman, who spoke through the Coordinating Head of the Corporation, Tunde Oladejo, disclosed that over ₦120 million was expended on the procurement of the commodities, noting that the gesture formed part of the welfare-driven programmes of the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde geared towards improving the well-being of workers in the State.

He explained that the commodities distributed include rice, King’s vegetable oil and rams, all made available at subsidised rates to interested workers across the State.
