MANILA, Philippines — The sea-based Service Contracting Program (SCP) of the government, which will grant fare subsidies to participating operators and vessels, will be implemented on Monday, May 25, the Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) said on Friday.

According to Marina, the Lakbay Alalay ng Gobyerno Program was launched to help ease the impact of the rising oil prices while sustaining operations of ship and boat operators.
