MANILA, Philippines — A Human rights lawyer on Thursday challenged Interior Sec. Jonvic Remulla to immediately arrest Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa or step down from his position.
Atty. Dino de Leon made the pronouncement as he lamented the weakness the government is projecting in implementing warrants and enforcing accountability.
“Arrest Bato or resign,” De Leon said in a statement, specifically referring to Remulla.
“Do not add Bato to the growing list of wanted personalities whom the DILG has failed to arrest,” he said.
