MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Solicitor-General has asked the Supreme Court (SC) to junk the legal maneuvers of Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, labeling the senator a “fugitive from justice” who is manipulating the legal system to evade an international arrest warrant.

It can be noted that Bato Dela Rosa disappeared from public view six months after rumors that the International Criminal Court (ICC) had already ordered his arrest for being one of the co-perpetrators of former president Rodrigo Duterte in the bloody war on drugs.

On May 11, dela Rosa resurfaced to cast the decisive 13th vote to install Senator Alan Peter Cayetano as Senate President.
