The average house price increase in Attica last year amounted to 3.1%, both for new and older properties, REMAX Hellas noted in a report published on Friday.
It showed that the average price per square meter was €3,822 for new and €2,537 for old properties.
In the center of Athens, the prices of new buildings increased by 2.1%, reaching €3,711/sq.m., while those of the old ones rose by 3.5% to €2,529 per square meter.
In the northern suburbs, the increase was more moderate, with the prices of new buildings increasing by 1.1% (average rate: €4,744/sq.m.) and old buildings by 0.5% (average price: €3,055/sq.m.).
In the southern suburbs, the average price increase was 4.3% for new buildings with an average price of €4,745/sq.m. and 3.7% for old properties with an average price of €3,105/sq.m.
