Photo by Danny Pata Meralco will implement rotational power interruptions that will last up to two hours in some areas after the National Grid Corporation Philippines (NGCP) raised the red alert alarm on the Luzon Grid on Thursday."As of 7:00 PM, this has affected more than 320,000 customers in parts of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Metro Manila, Pampanga, Quezon and Rizal," Meralco said in a statement."Our big-load customers enrolled under the Interruptible Load Program (ILP) have been helping lessen the demand with a collective de-loading capacity of around 270 MW," the firm added.Meralco added that they will be monitoring the situation and continue managing the system."We will also provide updates as needed," Meralco said. — BAP, GMA News
