MANILA, Philippines — The Luzon and Visayas grids returned to normal operations on Saturday after three straight days of red and yellow alerts this week, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said.

In an advisory, NCGP announced that the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao grids are “operating under normal conditions.”

During the past days, several areas experienced power outages as the NGCP conducted manual load dropping to “maintain the integrity of the power system.”
