Temperature levels remained under control in parts of north Tamil Nadu on the first day of the peak summer spell, popularly known as Agni Natchathiram. Most parts of the State may experience a gradual fall in mercury levels from May 6 along with heavy rainfall in some districts.
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast that temperature levels may be above normal by two-three degree Celsius at a few pockets on Tuesday. Mercury levels across the State and Puducherry are likely to drop and be near normal across the State and Puducherry. Chennai, too, has chances of light rainfall on Tuesday.
