Cadbury has cut the number of chocolate bars in multi-packs – while keeping prices the same.
In the latest case of ‘shrinkflation’, where brands cut the amount of a product rather than raise the price, Cadbury has slashed the number of Wispa and Crunchie bars in multi-packs from nine to seven.
Each pack costs about £3, so the cost of each bar has risen by around 10p.
The move comes after the company made similar reductions in packs of Fudge, Freddo and Curly Wurly bars.
‘Shrinkflation is getting worse,’ one shopper said online.
