Acentre left Democratic Party (PD) MEP and a PD town councillor south of Rome on Wednesday reported the porn site Phica for allowing users to post manipulated photos of them in sexual poses.
Phica, when spelt with an initial F, spells out the Italian slang term for vagina.
MEP Alessandra Moretti, 55, said "I have filed a criminal complaint against the Phica forum site, which I discovered had been stealing photos and clips from TV shows I'd appeared on for years, then altering them and sharing them with thousands of users.
"A long list of obscene comments followed, damaging not only my emotional well-being but also the safety of many women exposed to this disgusting new practice of posting photos without consent." Valeria Campagna, 27, a PD councillor at Latina, said on Facebook: "It's not easy to write this post.
I discovered that some of my photos were posted on an online forum without my consent.
