NASA's Roman Space Telescope is launching soon aboard a SpaceX rocket. This observatory will survey the cosmos for dark energy and dark matter. It aims to test the standard model of cosmology and its expansion rate. Roman will also discover thousands of exoplanets beyond our solar system. Its wide-field view complements other missions for a complete cosmic picture.

Targeting launch Aug. 30, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope will attempt to directly image a set of exoplanets selected with help from Cornell faculty member Dmitry Savransky.
