Good Good's CEO blasted the golf equipment company, saying the brand had asked the YouTube group to "take the fall" for a controversial ad.

In a statement, CEO Chip Brewer said the ad, which showed a woman shoved to the groud, was “approved by Callaway prior to posting.”

"I think their initial response was disappointing. It was a bit defensive and late," PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp said.

The retailers appear to have pulled the brand’s merchandise following backlash over its controversial co-branded Callaway ad.

The move is the latest blow to the YouTube-native golf brand that had been on a remarkable retail growth trajectory.
