Anti-Graft Agency EFCC Has Legal Power To Freeze State Government Funds, Falana Says

Renowned human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, has said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) did not act illegally by freezing the accounts of the Osun State Government, insisting that the anti-graft agency has the legal power to freeze the funds of federal, state and local governments subject to judicial oversight. Falana made this known on Friday while appearing on Channels Television, hosted by Seun Okinbaloye, where he discussed the legality of the EFCC’s action against the Osun State government.
