Until the official code change, airport systems and passenger services are permitted to use 'PBI' or Palm Beach International Airport, and flight attendants have been given leeway to welcome travelers to 'West Palm Beach'. Eric Trump announced the christening, stating that his father is deserving of the honor for his contributions to Florida and the country.
