The weather department has forecast heavy to very heavy rain along with gusty winds reaching 50–60 kmph, urging residents to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel. Mumbai has already recorded significant rainfall this season, with Santacruz and Colaba observatories reporting well above last year's figures for the same period. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation also recorded widespread heavy rainfall across the city and suburbs over the past 24 hours.
