The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday (July 5, 2026) issued a red alert for Mumbai and Raigad district, valid for the next three hours due to heavy rainfall since Saturday (July 4) night. Mumbai has recorded more than 250-300 mm of rainfall in the last 23 hours in a few areas of the city.
