Four months after Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the opening salvo of the US-Israeli attack on the country in February, he is being memorialized in a weeklong funeral ceremony stretching across five cities in two countries, with millions of mourners expected to attend.

Ceremonies are planned in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala and Mashhad, with officials expecting foreign leaders, hundreds of journalists and millions of mourners

Iran is preparing the largest state funeral in its history for former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in a US-Israeli strike on 28 February.
