MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon may still bring rains over Luzon, while generally fair weather may prevail over portions of Visayas and Mindanao until Saturday, Sept. 12, the state weather bureau said.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecaster Daniel Villamil said in the 5 p.m. weather advisory that gloomy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms may affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon within the next 24 hours.
