MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon will continue to prevail over most parts of Luzon, while fair weather conditions will prevail over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, Aug. 13, the state weather bureau said.

In the 5 a.m. weather forecast, Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Leanne Loreto said the monsoon will continue bringing rains over the western section of the country, particularly most parts of Luzon and the western section of the Visayas.

“This Thursday, expect rains over most parts of Luzon, except for the Bicol Region, although Camarines Norte will experience sudden rains. The highest intensity of rains will be seen over Zambales and Bataan,” she added.
