MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon, or “habagat,” is expected to bring rains over Luzon on Sunday, the state weather bureau said.
In its 5 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that the southwest monsoon will affect northern and central Luzon.
Pagasa said, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur are forecast to experience “occasional rains.”
Heavy rainfall from 50 to 100 millimeters is anticipated in the two Ilocos areas, Pagasa added.
