Floods and landslides remain possible on Wednesday, September 9, due to rain from the southwest monsoon

MANILA, Philippines – Nearly two dozen provinces, almost all in Luzon, are seeing significant rainfall due to the southwest monsoon or habagat in the next 24 hours, the weather bureau’s 11 am advisory showed on Wednesday, September 9.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon is still affecting Luzon and the Visayas, with rain expected to be heaviest in the following areas:
