A 51-year-old man has been arrested on Corfu on suspicion of sexually abusing his eight-year-old granddaughter. According to sources, he denies the allegations.
Police intervened after a relative reported the alleged abuse to authorities. The child’s parents reportedly had no knowledge of the alleged abuse. In addition to the prosecution, they have also taken legal action in connection with the case.
The girl gave a statement to police in the presence of a child psychologist. The suspect, an Albanian national who lives on Corfu, has been given a deadline to testify before judicial authorities.
