South Coast Railway (SCoR) general manager Sandeep Mathur chaired a review meeting with Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers across the zone’s four divisions—Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Guntakal.Operational safety, accelerating freight loading, and upgrading passenger amenities, were among the key issues discussed at the meeting.Mr. Mathur reviewed track maintenance, signalling upgrades, and hazard prevention protocols. He urged field personnel to adhere strictly to prescribed safety manuals. Discussions also focused on boosting freight revenue, with divisional heads presenting progress reports on ongoing infrastructure projects and their completion targets.On passenger amenities, the general manager directed officials to fast-track station modernisation, enhance on-board and station cleanliness, and expand passenger-centric services across the network.
