Much of Greece will face a high risk of wildfires on Thursday, with temperatures expected to remain elevated across the country.
A total of 18 regions have been placed at Level 3, or high risk, on the five-tier fire danger scale.
The areas include Greater Athens and surrounding regions, including Evia, Viotia, Fthiotida, Corinth and Argolida, as well as western and southern Greece, including Achaia, Ilia, Etoloakarnania, and Crete.
High-risk areas also extend across northeastern Greece, including Evros and Rodopi, and the Aegean islands, including the Cyclades, Dodecanese, North Aegean islands, and Sporades.
