The V2X DC Charger has up to 22 kW of DC charging power. It features IP65 protection and IK10 impact protection.

Chinese energy storage solutions provider Hoymiles has released a new electric vehicle (EV) charger. The V2X DC Charger supports bidirectional charging, allowing EVs to serve as energy resources for homes.

“It can provide backup power when the grid is unavailable through Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), while enabling households to participate in peak shaving and virtual power plant (VPP) dispatch via Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G),” the company said. “Furthermore, it is built with an integrated EU MID-certified meter, which provides accurate energy measurement for reliable monitoring and energy management.”

The charger enables direct DC charging from PV systems and battery storage, with up to 22 kW of charging power. Hoymiles lists peak efficiency of 97% in both charging and discharging modes.

In charging mode, the device has an input voltage range of 240 V to 980 V DC and an output voltage range of 200 V to 1,000 V DC. In discharging mode, the input voltage range is 300 V to 1,000 V DC, while the output voltage range is 240 V to 980 V DC.
