Bidirectional Energy and PowerFlex have joined as partners, bringing several additional EVs and charging systems into the bidirectional programme. The additions include the Nissan Leaf from model years 2018 to 2025, as well as the 2025 Volvo EX90 and Polestar 3. All three can participate in combination with the dcbel Ara bidirectional charger. The Kia EV9 from model year 2024 onwards and the EV6 from model year 2025 onwards are eligible when paired with the Wallbox Quasar 2.
For these combinations, customers can receive up to $13,000 in additional incentives provided through a California Energy Commission (CEC) grant, provided they meet the relevant eligibility requirements.
PG&E has also added three General Motors vehicles to the list: the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt, the Cadillac Celestiq from model year 2025 and the Cadillac Escalade IQL from model year 2025. Ford, GM and Tesla vehicles were already represented in the programme. Exactly which bidirectional functions are available depends on the vehicle and charger combination.
