The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), with the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, detained a local mobilized serviceman in the Mykolaiv region who was helping coordinate Russian strikes on southern Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this.

The investigation established that while serving in one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ artillery brigades, the suspect helped direct Russian missile and drone strikes against neighboring units of the Defense Forces in the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.

According to case materials, the suspect coordinated his activities remotely with an officer of the FSB’s military counterintelligence service. He communicated with his Russian handler through an anonymous chat in a messaging app.

SSU cyber specialists uncovered his contacts with the Russian intelligence service, documented his espionage activities, and detained him at his duty station.
