The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), with the assistance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, exposed a Russian-recruited mobilized serviceman serving in one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ mechanized brigades who was coordinating Russian strikes in southern Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this.
The investigation found that the serviceman came to the attention of Russian operatives while searching Telegram channels for quick ways to make money. A Russian intelligence officer contacted him there and offered cooperation in exchange for promises of “easy” money.
The suspect used a rented car to travel around Odesa and nearby areas, secretly filming Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions with his phone camera.
He also marked the coordinates of Ukrainian troop positions on Google Maps.
