The Security Service of Ukraine has detained an enemy agent who was coordinating Russian military strikes in the Kharkiv region, specifically against targets along the Poltava-Kharkiv highway.

According to Ukrinform, the SSU reported this.

The detainee turned out to be an employee of a well-known retail chain. It has been established that he was carrying out tasks for the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.

As the investigation revealed, following instructions from the enemy’s special service, the suspect would board a scheduled bus during his off-duty hours and travel to the Kharkiv region. From the bus window, he tracked the bases and movement routes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and documented the aftermath of enemy strikes on the Poltava-Kharkiv highway.

The suspect first recorded the identified targets on his phone camera and then marked their coordinates on Google Maps for a report to his handler. The Russians hoped to use this intelligence to prepare a new series of missile and bomb strikes on the region.
