A 27-year-old man who was hospitalized in Thessaloniki for just over a week after suffering serious injuries in a fight at a nightclub in Giannitsa, northwest of Thessaloniki, died on Sunday morning.
The victim was allegedly punched by a 26-year-old man outside the club, causing him to fall to the ground. The two had reportedly initially argued inside the nightclub over what is believed to have been a trivial matter. They were at the venue with separate groups of friends.
The injuries sustained by the 27-year-old were considered serious, and he was taken to Thessaloniki’s Papageorgiou Hospital for emergency treatment.
The 26-year-old has been arrested and faces criminal charges.
