Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has accused the DA of political opportunism over its Hammanskraal billboard targeting ANC and ActionSA water tanker spending ahead of local elections.
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi has accused the DA of being “opportunistic” after the party launched a billboard in Hammanskraal accusing the ANC and ActionSA of spending R777 million on water tankers in Tshwane.
The billboard, unveiled ahead of the local government elections, calls on residents to “Take back your city from water tanker mafia! Vote DA”.
Responding to the billboard, Lesufi questioned the DA’s record on water tankers when it previously governed Tshwane and accused the party of using the issue for political gain.
“They are being opportunistic. The water tankers of Tshwane, the current contract of water tankers, who appointed them? It’s the DA. They were running that city,” Lesufi said.
