Two persons in separate incidents drowned in Tamirabharani River and an irrigation channel during the weekend in the district.Subramanian, 68, of Naranammalpuram, went to the Tamirabharani on Saturday evening to take bath in the river. As he did not return home, Fire and Rescue Services personnel were informed and they recovered his body on Sunday.A. Santhosh Kannan, 16, of Pazhavoor drowned in Kodagan Channel on Sunday while taking bath. Fire and Rescue Services personnel from Pettai fire station retrieved the body.
