MANILA, Philippines — Heavy rains due to the enhanced southwest monsoon or “habagat” will continue hounding Luzon and parts of the Visayas on Sunday, according to the state weather bureau.

In a weather advisory issued at 5 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that monsoon rains of up to 200 millimeters (mm) may prevail over the following areas on Sunday:

The weather bureau also reported that cloudy skies with scattered rain showers may also affect the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region also due to the habagat.
