MANILA, Philippines — Rains triggered by the southwest monsoon or “habagat” are forecast to continue in several parts of Luzon on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, Astronomical and Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa, in its latest weather forecast, reported that monsoon rains are expected to continue in parts of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Zambales Bataan and Occidental Mindoro on Monday.

“Pabugso bugsong malalakas naman na mga pagulan, ang aasahan sa nalabing bahagi ng Ilocos region at Cordillera, maging dito sa may Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal at dito sa may Oriental, Mindoro,” said Pagasa weather specialist Charmagne Varilla.
