Fighting remains highly intense in the northern part of the Sloviansk sector and on the Lyman front.
According to Ukrinform, Viktor Tregubov, Spokesperson for the Joint Forces Grouping, said this during a televised broadcast.
“Overall, the intensity remains high, especially in the southern part of our area of responsibility – the Lyman sector and the northern part of the Sloviansk sector, which was recently added to our area. There, the enemy remains highly active. There has also been increased activity in the Kupiansk sector, while activity continues in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, where the enemy is looking for ways to establish a foothold close to Ukraine’s border and push south, toward Bilyi Kolodiaz, and attempt to advance toward Vovchansk,” Tregubov said, noting that the situation was “quite predictable.”
According to him, enemy activity in the Kupiansk sector on the eastern bank of the Oskil River remains consistently high. Russian forces have been trying for a long time to break through toward Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. From time to time, the enemy also becomes active on the western bank of the Oskil, where Russian troops are attempting to infiltrate directly into Kupiansk.
