A total of 201 combat engagements have taken place along the frontline, with the heaviest fighting reported in the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk sectors, where Ukrainian forces repelled nearly 45 Russian attacks.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this in its operational update as of 22:00 on July 5, published on Facebook.

"Since the beginning of the day, there have been 201 combat engagements. The enemy carried out 65 airstrikes, dropping 182 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russian forces launched 5,461 kamikaze drones and conducted 1,907 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops," the statement said.

According to the General Staff, Russian forces did not conduct assault operations in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors during the day. However, they carried out one airstrike using a guided aerial bomb and launched 30 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops launched nine assaults on Ukrainian positions near Izbytske, Starytsia, Vilcha, and Sheviakivka.
