On June 28, a total of 197 combat engagements took place between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops along the front line, with the highest number of enemy attacks recorded in the Sloviansk and Pokrovsk sectors.

General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in its operational update as of 22:00, published on Facebook, as cited by Ukrinform.

"Since the beginning of the day, there have been 197 combat engagements. The enemy carried out one missile strike, using eight missiles, conducted 51 air strikes, and dropped 147 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 5,366 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,763 strikes on settlements and Ukrainian positions," the statement said.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, two clashes were recorded. The enemy carried out 68 strikes on settlements and military positions, including five using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched three assaults near the settlement of Starytsia and toward Izbytske and Vilcha. One engagement is still ongoing.
