The enemy continues to make active attempts to advance in the Lyman sector.

According to a Ukrinform correspondent, Viktor Tregubov, head of the communications department of the Joint Forces Task Force, stated this on television.

“The Russians are actively trying to advance in the Lyman sector… It is strategically important to them as part of further developing their offensive toward the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration area. The fact is, however, that they are still being eliminated there quite quickly, despite their frantic pressure, constant attempts to break through the buffer zone and gain a foothold on the eastern outskirts of the town itself, as well as to put pressure on nearby settlements and, separately, on Yampil," Tregubov noted.

He added that in the Kupiansk district, on the left bank of the Oskil River, the enemy is attempting to break through toward Kupiansk through the center of the Ukrainian bridgehead. According to him, the enemy is operating in extremely small infiltration groups of two or three people, sometimes just one. However, there are many such groups, and they continue to attempt to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory.

“They’re moving in small groups, but with very high frequency... One way or another, the Russians are trying to use precisely these small groups to remain undetected,” Tregubov said.
