Russian troop activity has recently increased in the Lyman sector, while border guards have been capturing Russian soldiers attempting to launch assaults for several days in a row.

This was stated on television by Demchenko, a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“Recently, we have observed a certain increase in enemy activity in the Lyman sector, as the enemy’s attempts to launch assaults in this sector of the ‘Pomsta’ Brigade’s defense line have increased somewhat,” Demchenko noted.

According to him, Ukrainian troops are repelling Russian attacks and, for several days in a row, have been capturing occupiers who attempted to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions.

“For several days in a row, they have also been capturing occupiers who were, in fact, conducting assault operations in an attempt to dislodge our troops and are now being held captive by the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” the spokesperson noted.
