Idols of Lord Krishna kept on display during the special exhibition at Poompuhar showroom in Erode in Tamil Nadu on Monday.

A Krishna Darshan exhibition and sale is being organised by the Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation (Poompuhar) at its sales centre on Mettur Road in Erode till September 4 as part of Krishna Jayanti celebrations.The exhibition features a variety of traditional handicrafts depicting Lord Krishna, including paper-pulp, clay, panchaloha, brass, Aligarh brass, wooden and sandalwood idols. Krishna figures in Thanjavur paintings and black-and-white metal idols, besides panchaloha pendants, are also on display. The products are priced between ₹150 and ₹20,000.The Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation organises exhibitions and sales throughout the year to provide artisans with market opportunities and promote traditional handicrafts.A similar Krishna Darshan exhibition and sale is being held at the Poompuhar sales branch at Tex Valley Global Market during the same period.
