The Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation (Poompuhar) has organised a Vinayaka Chaturthi exhibition and sale at its outlet on Mettur Road in Erode.
The exhibition, inaugurated on Tuesday (September 8, 2026), will be open till September 19. A similar exhibition is held at Poompuhar’s branch outlet (Shop No. 1114) at Fortune City, formerly Texvalley Global Market, during the same period.
According to a release, the exhibition has been organised to provide artisans with better market opportunities and promote traditional handicrafts. The Corporation has set a sales target of ₹5 lakh for the exhibition. The release appealed to the public to make use of the exhibition and purchase traditional handicrafts ahead of Vinayaka Chaturthi.
