The Poompuhar showroom, an undertaking of Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation, has heralded the festival season by launching a sales-cum-exhibition of idols and gift items in the city.“As we celebrate Krishna Jayanthi this week, we have created special areas to display and showcase figurines and idols from various regions. We have started selling dolls for Golu [Navaratri]. Vinayaka Chaturthi idols and statuettes will be on display by next week,” J. Gayathri, manager, Poompuhar-Tiruchi, told The Hindu on Friday.
