Seven retail clothing stores in Kashan were sealed due to what authorities termed a “failure to observe Islamic rules and codes.”
Mehr News Agency reported on August 23 that these units were identified and closed during a joint inspection conducted by the Kashan Chamber of Guilds, the Public Places Supervision Office, and the Department of Industry, Mine, and Trade.
Mehdi Baghi-Mojarad, head of the Kashan Chamber of Guilds, stated that during these inspections, seven shops were sealed and 32 pieces of “ripped and distressed” clothing were confiscated.
These actions coincide with a rise in reports regarding the sealing of commercial units and heightened monitoring of business activities both online and in public spaces across Iran.
On August 18, the prosecutor of Tabas also announced a judicial order to seal three commercial units in the county. According to him, these businesses had repeatedly published images and videos on social media featuring the “removal of the hijab” and content violating the regulations of the Islamic Republic.
