Australia is stepping up for Samoa’s next generation, through the Australia-Samoa Tautua Partnership, new doors are opening for young people across Upolu and Savai’i following a series of high-impact Youth Development Day activities aimed at unlocking local potential.
The activities were supported in partnership with the Ministry of Family and Social Affairs.
A key part of the programme was the socialisation of the Samoa Youth Policy 2026-2031, giving participants an opportunity to learn about the policy and engage with its priorities.
Participants also took part in interactive World Café sessions covering mental health and well-being, environmental action and gender-based violence awareness.
These factors, combined with escalating environmental and social stressors, continue to impact the wellbeing of the country’s most vulnerable demographics.
