Australia is investing an additional $2 million to support Samoan Civil Society Organisations through the Tautua–Human Development for All Program, strengthening inclusive and community-led development efforts across Samoa through to 2028.
The investment will expand access to essential services and increase support for vulnerable groups over the next two years.
Australian High Commissioner Will Robinson said Australia was proud to partner with Samoan institutions to support inclusive development and acknowledged the work carried out by local organisations across the country.
Program partners include Women in Business Development Inc., Samoa Spinal Network, SENESE Inclusive Education Support Services, Samoa Fa’afafine Association, Samoa Victim Support Group, Samoa Women’s Association of Growers, Nuanua O Le Alofa and Samoa Family Health Association.
With Australian support, the partners have provided more than 10,500 people with access to sexual and reproductive health services, delivered more than 600 disability-related services, and trained more than 11,000 people in economic empowerment, youth engagement, leadership and family wellbeing.
