Police in Thessaloniki have arrested a 29-year-old Turkish national wanted by Turkish authorities in connection with a murder in August 2020 in Istanbul.
The man was the subject of an Interpol red notice, a request to law-enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person wanted by a country or international tribunal, usually pending extradition proceedings.
The man is expected to be led before a prosecutor.
A 60-year-old foreign national wanted over a property crime was arrested in Thessaloniki on Friday, police said.
