Venkatesh inspected development works in Sathyamangalam and Gobichettipalayam on Friday (August 14, 2026) in the presence of the district Collector S. Kandasamy.At the Union Primary School in Sikkarasampalayam panchayat, Mr. Venkatesh reviewed the Perunthalaivar KamarajarBreakfastScheme, including food quality and basic amenities, and inspected a nursery established at Sikkarasampalayam Samathuvapuram at ₹5.39 lakh, jasmine cultivation at Ikkarai Negamam, and a millet value-addition unit set up with a ₹30.60 lakh subsidy.In Sathyamangalam, he inspected an overhead water tank completed at Kattabomman Nagar at a cost of ₹10.77 crore, newly laid roads at VIP Nagar and a high-level bridge being constructed by the Highways Department at ₹3 crore. At the Government Primary Health Centre at Kottupullampalayam, he reviewed treatment facilities, medical equipment and the ‘Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam’ Scheme.In Gobichettipalayam, he inspected the construction of a daily flower market at ₹2.64 crore, a micro-composting centre and a sludge treatment plant under construction at the Karattur compost yard at ₹9.96 crore. At a review meeting, Mr. Venkatesh directed officials to complete development works within the stipulated time. With rainfall deficient this year, he stressed the need to prioritise drinking water works and complete major road projects before the monsoon.
