Accommodation prices in Burgas have surged dramatically following the announcement that the Black Sea city will host the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2027, with some listings reaching more than €4,000 per night and three-night stays exceeding €12,000.
The sharp increase appeared within hours of the official announcement. According to the supplied information from major booking platforms, around 99% of available accommodation for the Eurovision dates, May 11-15, has already been booked or is no longer available.
Some of the most expensive offers are in hotels and apartments near the coast. One three-night stay from May 13 to 15 was listed at €12,000, although a temporary promotion for certain users reduced the price to €9,000. Other offers that appeared shortly after the announcement reached €10,000 before being removed or booked.
A review by bTV's Business News of accommodation available around the semifinals and final, May 13-16, found prices ranging from several hundred euros to more than €4,000 per night.
Among the listings were luxury apartments of around 70 square meters where three nights for two adults cost €12,322, including taxes and fees. That works out to more than €4,100 per night.
