Gideon Alard was granted bail in the Goodwood Magistrate's Court.

The man arrested after a drug stash worth R10 million was uncovered in a Cape Town apartment has been granted R150,000 bail in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.

Gideon Alard, 29, was arrested on July 19 at a premises in De Zicht, Richwood, during a Crime Intelligence operation in Bothasig.

He faces charges of possession of drugs, firearms, and ammunition.

At the time, provincial police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk said the arrest followed information received that an apartment was being used as a storage facility by a local gang.
